Masterplan

NOTE: The plans are currently being updated to incorporate the results of the Ecology Survey and the Public Consultation findings.

The Friends of Finchley Way Open Space have developed proposals for the site for the next five years.

The proposals represent our initial ideas which will be further developed after the results of the Ecology survey and feedback from the public consultation.

The design concept envisages the site as three areas:

The Green Field - a grassland area for play and recreation with seating and wildflower meadows with enhanced planting around the boundaries.

The Woodland Trail - an area of woodland with nature trail paths weaving through the trees and planting.

The Pocket Nature Reserve - an area of dense trees and undergrowth, with a cleared area to facilitate the growth of wildflowers and other plants to increase the biodiversity. This will encourage a greater range of wildlife. The existing wildlife habitats will be protected by leaving the edges of the site as "wild" areas. Nature trail paths will weave around the site.
